Artist Statment

Art as Spirit Made Tangible

My imagination has a spiritual soul which generates work that is liberating to the mind and eyes of the viewers. ​Paintings are composed with animated organic forms, lights and darks, dramatic color, and vigorous mark making that emit energy and arouse viewers interest. I use a variety of medium: oil, acrylic, inks, photography, and charcoal. When combining several elements together, they emit  a strong physical presence. The paintings tap into the subconscious mind and invites us to uncover meaning. The blending of abstraction and representation creates an expressive, fantastical style uniquely my own.​My work is in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and has been presented in several solo gallery shows. It has been an honor to have been acknowledged by the press and to have received numerous awards in juried exhibitions.
